The mighty saguaro cactus of the Sonoran Desert leaves a skeleton behind when its long life is past. They are used for fencing, lattice work, ceilings, cabinets, left in place as an interesting reminder that nothing is permanent (but gets interesting even after passing on), chair backs, you name it, those saguaro ribs serve a lot of uses!

Thanks for dropping by, Johnathan - the state doesn't really have much to say about the matter, Mother Nature does what she wants! Saguaros are protected & live 150 to 175 years on average, but nothing lives forever.
I have never seen anything like that. It is definitely rustic looking.
I can just see that in one of those rustic adobe homes out there on the desert! I love Arizona!
